Semi-permanent hiatus

Anyone out there still paying any attention to this blog will have noticed the marked decrease in regularity of new posts. As I have reached the home stretch of my graduate school career my dissertation and other duties are requiring a level of effort which makes blogging in my increasingly rare spare time harder to manage and justify. So I'm formally giving notice not to expect any new material for the foreseeable future.

The good news is that, being a blog about history, the existing material can never truly go out of date. So please browse the archives.

Thanks, Go Frogs!, and best wishes to your team unless it happens to be Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Baylor, or Auburn. I don't really care for Ohio State, either. Because Columbus is a dump.

  1. Just watch Auburn be hiring in your exact area when you go on the market.

  2. For a teaching job with regular pay, I would not only be willing to work at Auburn and cheer for the kitty-cats, I would work at the University of Pyonyang and teach courses on the history of Our Glorious Leader's rise to global reknown and adulation.
